Three WAC Volleyball Players Earn Academic All-District Honors

Three WAC volleyball players – California Baptist's Sydney Marks, Utah Valley's Seren Merrill and NM State's Julianna Salanoa – have earned CoSIDA Academic All-District honors. All three are second team honorees.

Marks, a junior middle blocker from Lodi, Calif., boasts a perfect 4.00 grade-point average in business administration and political science. She is averaging 2.74 kills per set this season.

A junior libero from Orem, Utah, Merrill has a 3.98 GPA as an exercise science/pre-nurse practitioner major. She currently ranks second in the WAC with 4.34 digs per set.

Salanoa, a junior middle blocker, has a 3.96 GPA in nursing. The Olympia, Wash. native ranks second in the WAC in blocks (1.4) and third in hitting percentage (.371). She is a three-time WAC Player of the Week.
