NM STATE'S SALANOA, CHICAGO STATE'S KLAVITTER NAMED WAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
NM State junior middle blocker Julianna Salanoa and Chicago State senior libero Megan Klavitter have been named the WAC Offensive and Defensive Volleyball Players of the Week, respectively, for the week of Nov. 4-10. This is the third honor of the season and fourth of her career for Salanoa and the second of the season and fourth of her career for Klavitter.

Salanoa, an Olympia, Wash. native, averaged 3.29 kills on .579 hitting and 0.43 service aces per set last week as the Aggies ran their win streak to 15 matches and clinched their fourth WAC regular-season title in the last five seasons. She opened the week by hitting .545 with 13 kills and two aces at CSU Bakersfield. Salanoa then hit a scorching .625 with 10 kills in a sweep at Grand Canyon. For the week, she had just one error on 38 attempts en route to hitting more than .200 better than any other player in the conference.

Klavitter, a Fenton, Mich. native, averaged a WAC-best 7.20 digs per set over two matches last week. She opened the week with 35 digs in a five-set loss to Seattle U. Klavitter then posted 37 digs in a win over Utah Valley on Saturday, the Cougars' first WAC victory of the season. It was one shy of her career high. Klavitter leads the WAC on the season with 5.25 digs per set, nearly 1.00 dig per set more than the next closest player.

Other offensive nominees included: Sydney Marks of California Baptist averaged 3.57 kills on .295 hitting last week ... Grand Canyon's Melody Horton averaged 3.50 kills on .310 hitting on the week ... Melanie Brecka of Kansas City averaged 4.33 kills on .328 hitting and 0.33 service aces per set last week ... UT Rio Grande Valley's Sarah Cruz averaged 4.4 kills and 0.40 service aces per set.

Other defensive nominees included: California Baptist's Nicole Abreu averaged 4.86 digs per set ... Teagan DeFalco of Grand Canyon averaged 4.88 digs ... Kansas City's Mykal Sadler averaged 1.17 blocks per set ... Samaret Caraballo of UT Rio Grande Valley averaged 4.40 digs per set.

WAC STAT LEADERS
NM State leads the WAC in hitting percentage (.268), opponent hitting percentage (.113), kills (13.54) and blocks (2.98), while Kansas City is tops in assists (12.55), California Baptist leads the league in service aces (1.53) and Grand Canyon is tops in digs (15.36).

Individually, Grand Canyon's Annabelle Kubinski is tops in hitting percentage (.406), while Kansas City's Alicia Harrington leads the WAC in kills (3.66) and teammate Alli Schomers is tops in assists (10.20). UT Rio Grande Valley's Sarah Cruz leads the WAC in service aces (0.36), while Chicago State's Megan Klavitter is tops in digs (5.25). Utah Valley's Makaila Jarema leads the WAC in blocks (1.59), while teammate Kazna Tarawhiti is tops in points (4.15).

In WAC matches only, NM State leads the league in hitting percentage (.271), opponent hitting percentage (.123), kills (14.12), blocks (3.04) and service aces (1.58), while Kansas City is tops in assists (12.94) and Grand Canyon leads the league in digs (14.98).

Individually in WAC matches, Kubinski leads the league in hitting percentage (.442), while Harrington is tops in kills (4.11) and points (4.57), and Schomers leads the WAC in assists (11.19). Kansas City's Alex Ratzlaff is tops in service aces (0.40), while Jarema leads the league in blocks (1.59) and Klavitter is tops in digs (5.48).

NM STATE WINS WAC REGULAR-SEASON TITLE
When it swept Grand Canyon on Nov. 9, NM State won its sixth WAC regular-season title since joining the league in 2005 and fourth in the last five years.

CBU'S ABREU APPROACHING 1,000 DIGS
California Baptist senior libero Nicole Abreu currently has 997 career digs, leaving her three away from 1,000.

GCU HITS SEVERAL MILESTONES FOR WINS
GCU hit the 20-win mark on Nov. 2 when it defeated Utah Valley for the first time in program history. With 21 wins, the Lopes have matched the GCU Division I record for victories (21-11 in 2014). With a 9-1 record on the road, the Lopes blew away the Division I mark for most wins on the road, as the previous mark was three in both 2013 and 2014.

CBU'S JEDRZEJCZAK BECOMES PROGRAM BLOCKS LEADER
Yagoda Jedrzejczak became California Baptist's NCAA-era leader in career blocks on Nov. 2 against Chicago State. She now has 332 in her CBU career, which is a new NCAA-era record and ranks fifth all time for CBU.

KC'S ALICIA HARRINGTON MOVES INTO THIRD PLACE IN KILLS
Kansas City senior outside hitter Alicia Harrington surpassed 1,000 career kills in loss to Northern Iowa on Sept. 13. She now has 1,297 kills on her career, 31 shy of second place in program history.

CHICAGO STATE'S KLAVITTER SURPASSES 2,000 CAREER DIGS
Chicago State senior libero Megan Klavitter finished with 10 digs at California Baptist on Nov. 2 to move her career total to 2,078 career digs, good for second place in the all-time WAC career record books. She is 182 shy of the all-time record.
