NM STATE'S DAVISON, UTRGV'S JANDOVA NAMED WAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
NM State sophomore outside hitter Savannah Davison and UT Rio Grande Valley junior middle blocker Veronika Jandova have been named the Western Athletic Conference Offensive and Defensive Volleyball Players of the Week, respectively, for the week of Oct. 21-27. This is the first-ever honor for both.

Davison, a Toronto, Ontario, Canada native, averaged WAC bests of 5.29 points and 4.7 kills on .306 hitting to lead the Aggies to a 2-0 record on the week to remain unbeaten in WAC play. She tallied 17 kills with 18 digs for her seventh double-double of the season against Utah Valley on Thursday. Davison then hit .414 with 16 kills in a sweep of Seattle U on Saturday.

Jandova, a Prague, Czech Republic native, posted a WAC-best 1.86 blocks per set in a pair of victories last week, more than doubling her season average of 0.83 blocks per set entering the week. She opened the week with six blocks in a sweep of Seattle U. Jandova followed it up with a season-high-tying seven blocks against California Baptist.

Other offensive nominees included: Ellie Voss of California Baptist averaged 2.33 kills and 2.9 points per set last week ... CSU Bakersfield's Brooke Boiseau averaged 3.29 kills on .346 hitting, 0.29 service aces and 4.0 points per set on the week ... Kaira Moss of Grand Canyon averaged 2.38 kills on .548 hitting and 3.1 points on the week ... Kansas City's Alli Schomers averaged 11.75 assists, 1.00 kills on .368 hitting and 1.2 points per set last week ... Barbara Silva of UT Rio Grande Valley averaged 3.86 kills on .449 hitting and 4.5 points per set last week ... Utah Valley's Megan Childs averaged 2.50 kills on .304 hitting and 2.6 points per set.

Other defensive nominees included: California Baptist's Nicole Abreu averaged 4.89 digs per set ... Rafa Bonifacio of CSU Bakersfield averaged 4.79 digs per set ... Grand Canyon's Klaire Mitchell averaged 3.88 digs per set last week ... Ty Lukes of Kansas City averaged 1.38 blocks per set ... NM State's Megan Hart averaged 1.57 blocks per set ... Tijana Milojevic of Seattle U averaged 5.50 digs per set ... Utah Valley's Seren Merrill averaged 4.25 digs per set.

WAC STAT LEADERS
NM State leads the WAC in hitting percentage (.264), opponent hitting percentage (.098), assists (12.26), kills (13.33) and blocks (3.07), while Kansas City is tops in service aces (1.53) and Grand Canyon leads the league In digs (15.6).

Individually, Utah Valley's Kazna Tarawhiti leads the WAC in kills (3.82) and points (4.36), while Grand Canyon's Annabelle Kubinski is tops in hitting percentage (.413). Kansas City's Alli Schomers leads the league in assists (9.81), while Utah Valley's Makaila Jarema is tops in blocks (1.48). Seattle U's Tijana Milojevic leads the WAC in service aces (0.38) and Chicago State's Megan Klavitter is tops in digs (5.2).

In WAC matches only, NM State leads the league in hitting percentage (.262), opponent hitting percentage (.096), assists (12.83), kills (13.91) and blocks (3.26), while Kansas City is tops in service aces (1.54) and Grand Canyon leads the league in digs (15.38).

Individually in WAC matches, NM State's Savannah Davison leads the WAC in kills (3.8) and points per set (4.44), while teammate Julianna Salanoa is tops in blocks (1.6). GCU's Kubinski is tops in hitting percentage (.472)., while Kansas City's Schomers leads the WAC in assists (10.79) and teammate Alex Ratzlaff is tops in service aces (0.44). Chicago State's Klavitter leads the WAC in digs (5.44).

UTRGV'S LOWERY NOTCHES 500TH CAREER WIN
UT Rio Grande Valley head coach Todd Lowery notched his 500th career victory against California Baptist on Oct. 26. Lowery now has a career record of 500-102 (.831) in 17 seasons as a head coach, including an 84-66 record at UTRGV.

CHICAGO STATE'S KLAVITTER MOVES INTO SECOND PLACE IN CAREER DIGS
Chicago State senior libero Megan Klavitter finished with 23 digs against Grand Canyon on Oct. 24 to move into second place in the all-time WAC career record books. She now has 1,989 career digs, 271 shy of the all-time record.

SEATTLE U'S MILOJEVIC BECOMES PROGRAM DIGS LEADER
Seattle U's Tijana Milojevic notched her 1,338th career dig against UTRGV on Oct. 24 to become the program's all-time digs leader in its Division I history. Milojevic now has 1,363 digs.

UTRGV MOVES INTO TOP FIVE FOR ATTENDANCE
With four home matches remaining, UT Rio Grande Valley is already in the midst of one of the best attended seasons in program history. The Vaqueros have a total attendance of 5,783 this year, which ranks fifth all-time in program history.

KC'S ALICIA HARRINGTON APPROACHES THIRD PLACE IN KILLS
Kansas City senior outside hitter Alicia Harrington surpassed 1,000 career kills in loss to Northern Iowa on Sept. 13. She now has 1,221 kills on her career, eight shy of third place in program history.

GCU SETS PROGRAM DIVISION I RECORD FOR ROAD WINS
With a 7-1 record on the road, the Lopes set a new Division I mark for most wins on the road. The previous mark was three in both 2013 and 2014.
