INDIANAPOLIS – Grand Canyon Executive Senior Associate Athletic Director for Administration Nick Ojea has been appointed to the NCAA Women's Volleyball Rules Committee.
"It is an honor and privilege to serve on the NCAA Women's Volleyball Rules Committee," Ojea said. "I am looking forward to working with the other committee members on advancing the sport of women's volleyball."
The nine-member committee is responsible for advancing women's volleyball through its work with rule oversight, implementation and development. Ojea's term lasts through Aug. 31, 2022. There are five members on the committee from Division I and two apiece from Divisions II and III.
Ojea is in his third season as the sport administrator for GCU's women's volleyball program. He is in his fifth year at GCU after previous stints at Rutgers, UTEP, Louisville and Marshall. Ojea also oversees women's basketball, cross country and track and field as sport administrator.
