DENVER – Seattle U junior center Myles Carter has been named Western Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Dec. 24-30. This is his second WAC Player of the Week honor of the season and of his career.
The Chicago native poured in a career-high 26 points to go along with 13 rebounds to lead Seattle U to an 82-73 win at California. Carter, who played all 40 minutes, shot 61 percent from the field as the Redhawks built a 21-4 lead early and withstood a late push by the Golden Bears to earn their second win over a Pac-12 school this season. Carter's double-double was his sixth of the season as he collected his fifth 20+-point game. His 13 rebounds were one shy of his career high. The win moved the Redhawks to 12-3 on the season, their best record through 15 games in more than 50 years.
