TickPick Named Official Ticket Marketplace for Western Athletic Conference

DENVER – The Western Athletic Conference is proud to announce TickPick, LLC, as the Official Ticket Marketplace of the WAC.

The partnership will allow TickPick to serve as the secondary ticketing platform for the WAC, featuring tickets priced at face value for conference events, including the WAC Men's and Women's Basketball Tournament to be held at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas March 13-16, 2019.

"This is an exciting time for TickPick as we now have the opportunity to partner with the Western Athletic Conference and its collection of dedicated fans," Brett Goldberg, Co-CEO and Co-Founder of TickPick said. "We're excited to offer our first-class ticket buying experience for a conference that showcases some of the nation's best collegiate programs."

TickPick features an industry-leading approach to ticket selling with its all-in pricing and reduced fees. The company offers simplified transactions without hidden fees or commissions which compare favorably to the 25 percent or more in total fees charged by competitors.

TickPick will receive high-level exposure and engagement during WAC Championships via signage, promotions, online and social media programs, as well as contests where WAC fans can win one of a kind experiences and tickets to exciting events.

"It is great to have TickPick as a ticket market place partner of the WAC and to be able to provide its services to fans throughout the conference," WAC Commissioner Jeff Hurd said.

The partnership was arranged by the Collegiate Services division of Van Wagner Sports & Entertainment (VWSE) who manages the WAC's sponsorship program. VWSE worked with TickPick leadership to develop the partnership. TickPick joins the WAC's partnership line-up which includes Adidas, Gatorade, Canon, GEICO, Balfour, Qualite Sports Lighting, Molten, Wilson and Rawlings.

Founded in 2011, TickPick is reshaping the secondary event ticket marketplace with its no-fees approach. The company does not charge any fees for buyers, setting it apart from competitive firms that charge steep transaction fees. It also leverages its algorithms to look at the price/value ratio for tickets, and then offers value grading for buyers so they can get the optimal experience for their money. Users can also bid on tickets in a process that is similar to financial markets where supply and demand creates a more efficient marketplace. TickPick was founded by Co-CEO's Christopher O'Brien and Brett Goldberg who saw inefficiencies in the ticket marketplace and decided to build a more transparent and cost-effective solution.
