Utah State hosts Boise State on ESPN2 Tonight

SERIES LOOK:
Boise State leads the series 11-4 and has won eight straight including last year in Boise, 49-14.  Utah State's last win came in 1997, 24-20, in Logan.
COACHES:
Boise State's Chris Petersen is in his fourth season with the Broncos and is 45-4.  Utah State's Gary Andersen is in his first season with the Aggies.
GAME NOTES:
Boise State - has won 11 consecutive road games ... has won 13 straight conference games ... leads the nation in scoring and would become the fifth WAC team to do so this decade ... has scored 161 points in the second quarter,  the most by any WAC team in any quarter this year ... has allowed just 28 points in the first quarter, the fewest by any WAC team in any quarter this year ... Jeremy Avery is 109 rushing yards shy of 1,000 for the season..  Utah State - ESPN2 is making its first ever visit to Logan for a football game ... it is the first national television broadcast for the Aggies since the 1997 Humanitarian Bowl (ESPN2) ... QB Diondre Borel leads the WAC in total offense with 274.8 yards per game ... he is tied with Boise State's Kellen Moore in least interceptions thrown with three.


Louisiana Tech (3-7/2-4) at Fresno State (6-4/5-2)

SERIES LOOK:
Fresno State leads the series 7-3.  Louisiana Tech won last year in Ruston, 38-35.  Fresno State won the previous year at home, 17-6.
COACHES:
Louisiana Tech's Derek Dooley is in his third season with the Bulldogs and is 16-19.  Fresno State's Pat Hill is in his 13th season as a head coach and has a record of 98-65.
GAME NOTES:
Louisiana Tech - has lost four games in a row ... has a six-game road losing streak ... is tied with Arkansas for the national lead in red zone efficiency, scoring 33-of-34 times (24 touchdowns, 9-of-9 FGs) ... is second in the nation in punt returns with a 17.3-yard average but has returned just six punts, tied for the fewest by any team in the country ... has lost four fumbles, the fewest in the WAC.  Fresno State - is honoring the 1989 Cal Bowl Championship team ... leads the WAC in time of possession (32:33) ... is the least penalized team in the WAC with 39.8 yards per game ... has the made the fewest sacks in the WAC (8) ... Hawai'i (4-6/2-5) at San Jose State (1-8/0-5)

SERIES LOOK:
San Jose State leads the series 16-15-1 after winning last year in Honolulu, 20-17, snapping a seven-game losing streak against the Warriors.  Hawai'i's last win came in 2007, a 42-35 overtime victory, in San Jose.
COACHES:
Hawai'i's Greg McMackin is in his second season with the Warriors and is 11-13.  San Jose State's Dick Tomey is in his fifth season with the Spartans and is 24-33.  Overall, he is 182-143-7 in 29 years with stints at Hawai'i and Arizona.  This week, he announced his retirement effective at the end of the season.
GAME NOTES:
Hawai'i - has lost four consecutive road games ... is 12-1 in November since 2006 ... Mana Silva leads the WAC in interceptions with five ... Leon Wright-Jackson has five rushing touchdowns in the past two games ... Greg Salas leads the nation in receiving yards per game with 136.0, but is second in receptions per game (8.5) and is 32 receptions behind Bowling Green's Freddie Barnes.  San Jose State - has lost five straight games and eight straight in WAC play ... is second in the WAC in red zone efficiency (17-of-19) ... is second in the WAC in passing defense.


Nevada (7-3/6-0) at New Mexico State (3-7/1-4)

SERIES LOOK:
Nevada leads the series 10-2.  New Mexico State won last year in Reno, 48-45.  Nevada won the four games prior to last year including the last time the teams played in Las Cruces in 2007, 40-38.
COACHES:
Nevada's Chris Ault is in his 25th year with the Wolf Pack and has a record of 205-94-1.  He is a member of the College Football Hall of Fame.  New Mexico State's DeWayne Walker is in his first season with the Aggies.
GAME NOTES:
Nevada - has a seven-game winning streak ... has won seven consecutive WAC games ... has scored 123 points in the fourth quarter this year, the most by any WAC team ... has not given up a sack in its last two games ... is 80 yards shy of tying last year's record of 3,611 rushing yards in a season ... Luke Lippincott needs 134 rushing yards to reach 1,000 on the season ... if he does, Nevada would become the firs team in NCAA history with three 1,000-yard rushers in the same season.  New Mexico State - has lost four games in a row ... is last in the nation in total offense and scoring ...
