2006 Tournament Results
The 2006 WAC basketball tournament concluded Saturday from Reno, Nev., with two championship games. The Louisiana Tech Lady Techsters grabbed their fourth WAC Tournament title in five years, taking down New Mexico State, 63-39. Techster Tasha Williams was tabbed the Tournament's MVP. On the men's side, top-seeded Nevada needed overtime to knock off second-seeded Utah State, 70-63. Louisiana Tech and Nevada earn the WAC's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
