New Mexico State 115, Hawai‘i 73

LAS CRUCES, N.M. (NMSU Media Relations)-Freshman guard Daniel Mullings recorded the New Mexico State men's basketball team's first triple-double in school history in 20 years with a 115-73 rout of Hawai'i.

Mullings had a career-high night with 28 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists, which is the first triple-double since 1992 when William Benjamin achieved the feat.

The Aggies (21-8, 8-3) set season highs in points (115), which is the most scored since the 1996-97 season, and assists (26) and tied the season-best marks for field goal percentage (60.3, 41-of-68) and field goals made (41).

NM State had six players in double-digits with redshirt senior forward Wendell McKines adding 20 points and eight rebounds. Senior guard Hernst Laroche finished with 16 points and a season-high eight assists. Junior forwards Tyrone Watson and Bandja Sy supplied 12 points each, while sophomore center Tshilidzi Nephawe chipped in 10 points.

Louisiana Tech 75, San Jose State 49

RUSTON, La. - (LT Media Relations) Senior forward Romario Souza scored a career-high 19 points, 13 in the first half, as Louisiana Tech defeated San Jose State 75-49 Thursday night at the Thomas Assembly Center for their third consecutive win.

The Bulldogs improve to 14-14 on the year and 4-7 in the Western Athletic Conference while the Spartans fall to 9-18 and 1-10 in conference play.

San Jose State took control of the game for the first two minutes as they went up 4-2. Tech came back with a 10-2 run as Souza scored eight of the Bulldogs points to take a six-point advantage with 13:54 remaining in the first period.

LA Tech would stretch their lead to 28-18 after senior guard Trevor Gaskins made a jumper with less than six minutes until halftime.

Fresno State 78, Seatlle U 72

FRESNO, Calif. (AP) - Kevin Olekaibe scored 25 of his career-high 43 points in the second half as Fresno State defeated Seattle 78-72 on Thursday night in a nonconference game.

Olekaibe went 12 of 25 from the field and made all 14 of his free throws to become the first Fresno State (13-16) player to score 40 points in a game since Courtney Alexander on March 1, 2000.

Aaron Broussard scored 19 points and Clarence Trent added 14 for Seattle (10-15), which saw its four-game winning streak snapped.

Olekaibe opened the second half with consecutive 3-pointers and made two free throws with 59 seconds remaining to ice the game for the Bulldogs.FRESNO, Calif.
