DENVER - San Jose State's Madeleine Ziegert has been named the Verizon Western Athletic Conference Women's Golfer of the Week for April 16-22.

Ziegert, a senior from Halmstad, Sweden (Allvar Gullstrand), tied for 10th-place with an even par 216 (69-73-74) at the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate held earlier this week. It was her fifth top-10 finish of the season. Ziegert led the field in par-5 scoring at 6-under and tied for the tournament lead in birdies with 11. It is the sixth time in her career that Ziegert has won a WAC golfer of the week or month award.
