Wallace, a senior from Pomona, Calif. (Diamond Ranch HS) won her 10th all-around title of the season with the second-highest score in school history with a 39.550. She won three of the four individual meet titles at the SJSU tri meet. She won on bars with a 9.900, on beam with a 9.875 and on floor with a career-best 9.950.
Click, a junior from Vancouver, Wash. (Skyview HS) recorded a career-best 9.925 on beam last week to win the individual title in the event in a dual meet against Boise State. Click’s 9.925 is the third-best mark on beam in SUU history. She repeated her performance in a dual meet at Brigham Young on Monday.
Other Gymnast of the Week Nominees: Denver sophomore Moriah Martin tallied a 39.450 en route to winning her fourth all-around title of the season in a quad meet … Southern Utah freshman Jamie Armijo set or tied career-best marks on all three events in which she competed last week against Boise State … Utah State sophomore Paige Jones tied for second on bars with a 9.850 in a quad meet at Arizona.
Other Specialist of the Week Nominees: Denver sophomore Melodie Pulgarin Linero won a share of the bars title in a quad meet last week with a 9.900 … Sacramento State freshman Kalliah McCartney set a career high 9.875 to help win vault in a three-team meet … Utah State freshman Samantha Wagner was the top Aggie on beam, scoring a career-best 9.800 to tie for fifth in a quad meet at Arizona.
