DENVER - Idaho's Jarred Bossio has been named the Verizon Western Athletic Conference Men's Golfer of the Week for April 16-22.

Bossio, a senior from Olympia, Wash. (Capital HS), fired an even-par 216 to win the Winchester Classic at Meadow Vista, Calif. over the weekend. Bossio opened the tournament with a 69 before rounds of 73-74 over the final 36 holes gave him a one-stroke victory over Fresno State's Nate Jessup and UC Davis' Matt Seramin, who were at one-over 217. It is the fourth time in his career that Bossio has won a WAC golfer of the week or month award.

Other nominations: Nate Jessup, Fresno State; and Kevin Lucas, Nevada.
