Kansas City 7, South Dakota State 5 (11)
The Kangaroos defeated South Dakota State 7-5 in 11 innings in the first game of a doubleheader Satirday at Jackrabbit Softball Stadium.

Cinda Ramos earned the complete-game win in the circle, improving to 6-11 on the season. She allowed just one earned run on nine hits, striking out five.

Marlee Maples drove in two runs, while Ramos, Maddie Garton, Aly Zembruski and Kristi Lee drove in one run each. Katie Kelley, Caitlin Christopher and Zembruski had doubles, while Brooke Parker had her second triple of the season in the victory.

South Dakota State 2, Kansas City 0
In the nightcap, the 'Roos stranded seven runners in a 2-0 loss to the Jackrabbits. With the loss, Kansas City drops to 19-34 on the season.

Alexandra Friloux had two of the five Kansas City hits in the loss. Kelley, Ramos and Lee also had hits.

Kelley suffered the loss in the circle, dropping to 12-16 on the year. She allowed two runs on four hits with five strikeouts over six innings.
