New Mexico State 14, New Mexico 2 (5)
The Aggies defeated instate rival New Mexico 14-2 in five innings at Lobo Softball Field Tuesday. With the win, New Mexico State improves to 29-21 on the season.

Fiana Finau led the Aggies at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBI. Emma Adams also drove in three runs, while Malena Padilla and Alyssa Ruiz drove in two runs each. Kelsey Dodd was 2-for-3 with a solo homer.

Makayla McAdams earned the win to improve to 11-5 on the year. She allowed two runs on two huts with one strikeout and one walk over 2.1 innings. Celisha Walker threw 2.2 scoreless innings, giving up six hits and striking out two.

No. 1 Oregon 8, Utah Valley 0 (5)
Utah Valley allowed seven runs in the bottom of the first inning en route to an 8-0 five-inning loss to No. 1 Oregon in the first game of a doubleheader Tuesday at Howe Field.

Starter Bailey Moore gave up seven runs on seven hits in 2/3 of an inning to fall to 2-12 on the season. Josi Summers threw 3.1 innings in relief, allowing one run on one hit with two walks and a strikeout.

Dara Rahm had the lone Wolverine hit in the game.

No. 1 Oregon 5, Utah Valley 4
In the nightcap, a two-run triple from Morgan Summers in the top of the fifth brought Utah Valley level with the top-ranked Ducks, but an Oregon homer in the sixth was the difference as the Wolverines fell 5-4. With the loss, Utah Valley drops to 14-38 on the year.

Morgan Summers drove in two runs, while Brittney Vansway and Hailey Kofler had one RBI each.

Josi Summers suffered the loss in relief, falling to 7-17 on the year. She allowed two runs on nine hits with three strikeouts and two walks. Rahm, the starter, gave up three runs, one earned, on one hit.
