FRESNO, Calif.—(CSUB Media Relations) CSU Bakersfield (25-13) scored four runs with two outs in the top of the seventh inning to rally for a 8-5 victory over FresnoState (8-24) Wednesday night.

Bakersfield loaded the bases with two outs in the top of the seventh, when Mylz Jones (Fr., Palmdale, Calif., Paraclete HS) singled to right to plate a pair of runs. Frank Martinez (Sr., Riverside, Calif., East LA College) added to the lead with a single that drove in two runs later in the inning.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – (NMSU Media Relations) The New Mexico State baseball team (19-18) fell 13-6 to in-state rival New Mexico (20-17) on a cold and extremely windy day in Albuquerque, Wednesday, April 17.  NM State split the series with the Rio Grande Rivals this year and is now 4-2 against the Lobos in the last two years.

The Aggies opened the game with a solo home run by junior catcher Tanner Rust to take an early 1-0 lead but UNM crossed the plate twice in the bottom of the inning.  NM State would not regain the lead again as the Lobos scored two more runs in the bottom of the second to take a 4-1 lead.

BEAUMONT — (UTSA Media Relations) Eight Lamar pitchers combined on a three-hit shutout and the Cardinals handed UTSA a 4-0 setback on Wednesday at Vincent-Beck Stadium.

The Roadrunners (19-17), who were limited to just three singles, were blanked for the for the second time this season. John Welborn, who was 1-for-3, recorded an infield single in the third to extend his hitting streak to 14 games.
