RUSTON, Louisiana – (UTA Media Relations) Greg McCall drilled a two-run single in the 14th inning to lift UT Arlington to a 3-1 victory over Louisiana Tech on a soggy-turned-sunny-turned-dark Sunday at J.C. Love Field.

The Mavericks (14-12) continue to sit tied for first place in the Western Athletic Conference, improving to 4-1 going into Sunday's series finale looking for a sweep. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m., though rain in the area could impact the start time.

New Mexico State 5, CSU Bakersfield 4

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – (NMSU Media Relations) The New Mexico State baseball team battled back to take a game from CSU Bakersfield defeating the Roadrunners, 5-4 at Hardt Field, Saturday, March 30. NM State moves to 15-14 overall and 2-4 in Western Athletic Conference play while CSUB is 19-9 on the year and 4-2 in the WAC.

The Aggies hammered two home runs in the game with senior Bobby Lecount setting the tone in the top of the sixth with a solo shot over the leftfield fence.  After the Roadrunners tied the game in the bottom of the inning they took a 4-1 lead scoring three runs in the bottom of the seventh.

Sacramento State 11, Dallas Baptist 7

DALLAS — (SAC Media Relations) Justin Higley collected three of Sacramento State's 13 hits, including a three-run home run in the ninth inning to help Sacramento State to an 11-7 win over Dallas Baptist on Saturday at Horner Ballpark.

The victory returned the Hornets to a winning record (14-13) and moved the team to 2-4 in Western Athletic Conference games. DBU dropped to 16-12 overall and 4-2 in league play.

UTSA 14, San Jose State 8

SAN ANTONIO — (UTSA Media Relations) UTSA took advantage of three errors by San Jose State shortstop Ricky Acosta and the Roadrunners scored 10 unearned runs en route to a 14-8 victory against the Spartans on Sunday afternoon at the Bird Bath.

UTSA (16-12, 2-4 WAC) broke a 2-2 tie with a four-run fourth.

John Welborn extended the frame after reaching on an Acosta fielding error with two outs and that loaded the bases. Daniel Rockett then cleared the bases with a double on the following pitch from San Jose State starting pitching Johnny Melero and he scored three pitches later on Horacio Correa III's single.

Texas State 6, Seattle U 4

SAN MARCOS, Texas – (TXST Media Relations) Texas State completed the sweep against Seattle with a 6-4 victory Saturday. After falling behind early, the Bobcats put up four runs in the third to gain the lead. From there, Texas State had an answer for every Seattle threat, especially in the last three innings behind pitchers Austen Williams and Hunter Lemke.
Garrett Mattlage led Texas State with two RBI on a 1-for-4 day with a run scored. Cody Lovejoy also picked up an RBI as the only Bobcat with two hits, going 2-for-4 with a run. Five other Bobcats tallied a hit as Texas State put up its six runs on just eight hits.
