UT Arlington 5, Seattle U 3
Teri Lyles threw a complete-game four-hitter as UT Arlington opened WAC play with a 5-3 win over Seattle U. Lyles struck out seven in the win, her 15th of the season. She was also 2-for-3 at the plate and scored a run, while Rebecca Stokes drove in two runs.

UT Arlington 1, Seattle U 0 (8)
In the nightcap, Meagan Michele hit a double in the bottom of the eighth inning to drive in Taylor Zink and give the Mavericks a 1-0 win over the Redhawks. Callie Collins earned the complete-game shutout, striking out 16.

UTSA 3, Texas State 1
The Roadrunners opened WAC play with a 3-1 win at Texas State Friday. Haylee Staton earned the complete-game win, allowing one run on four hits. Megan Low drove in two of the three UTSA runs.

UTSA 5, Texas State 0
In the nightcap, the Roadrunners blanked the Bobcats, 5-0. Alyssa Vordenbaum threw a complete-game shutout, allowing four hits to improve to 7-5 on the season. Vivian Tijerina led UTSA at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI.

San Jose State 2, Utah State 1
The Spartans extended their winning streak to six games and opened WAC play with a 2-1 win over Utah State Friday afternoon. Amanda Pridmore earned the complete-game win, allowing one run on four hits while striking out six.

Louisiana Tech 8, New Mexico State 4
LA Tech opened WAC play with an 8-4 win at New Mexico State Friday. Anna Cross earned the win, allowing two runs on five hits. Cross also led the Lady Techsters at the plate, going 2-for-3 with four RBI.
