DENVER - University of Denver sophomore Samantha Corea will compete at the 2013 NCAA Division I Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships in Indianapolis, Ind.
Corea will compete in the 100 backstroke and the 200 backstroke. She is ranked 29th in the nation in the 100 backstroke with a time of 52.92, setting a new WAC record at last month’s championship meet. She is ranked 13th in the 200 backstroke. Her time of 1:53.31 also a new WAC record that she set in San Antonio.
The championships will be held March 21-23 at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis, Ind. The Indiana Sports Corporation and IUPUI serve as the co-hosts for the meet.
A total of 322 participants (281 swimmers and 41 divers) will compete in the championships. Student-athletes qualified for the swimming portion of the championships by meeting the established minimum time for the events in which they entered
