WAC Softball Hitter, Pitcher of the Week Announced

Conrad, a senior utility player from Los Angeles, led the Aggies at the plate last week with a .600 batting average, an .800 slugging percentage and a .714 on-base percentage. She had a hit in all four games, with two doubles, three runs scored, one RBI and three walks. Conrad had two multi-hit games and reached base each of her four times at the plate against rival UTEP.
Pridmore, a senior from Modesto, Calif., went 2-0 with a save in four appearances last week. In 15.1 innings, she posted a 0.91 ERA, 25 strikeouts and held opponents to a .143 batting average. Pridmore opened the week with a save against Fresno State. She then struck out 10 in 5.0 innings over work against Saint Mary’s and followed it up with a career-high 13 strikeouts in a complete-game win over St. John’s.
Other Hitter of the Week nominees included: Louisiana Tech’s Anna Cross hit .400 with a double, two runs and five RBI ... Vanessa House of San Jose State hit .389 with three doubles, one triple and eight RBI ... UT Arlington’s Meagan Michele hit .385 with a homer and three RBI ... Megan Low of UTSA hit .400 with a double, two home runs and six RBI.
Other Pitcher of the Week nominees included: New Mexico State’s Alex Newman went 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA and 11 strikeouts on the week ... Teri Lyles of UT Arlington went 2-1 with a 0.91 ERA and 10 strikeouts ... UTSA’s Haylee Staton went 3-0 with a 0.26 ERA and 20 strikeouts in 26.2 innings of work.
