LOGAN, UT –The 2012 women's soccer all-WAC teams were announced Wednesday night at the league's annual banquet, as selected by the conference's nine head coaches. WAC regular-season co-champion Denver led all teams with five players on the conference first team, as well as two players on the second team. The Pioneers also won two of the four end-of-season awards.

Denver junior forward Kristen Hamilton was named the WAC's Offensive Player of the Year, while Utah State senior defender Natalie Norris received Defensive Player of the Year honors. Texas State’s Lynsey Curry was named the league's Freshman of the Year and Denver’s Jeff Hooker was named Coach of the Year.

Hamilton, from Littleton, Colo. (Columbine HS), led the WAC during conference play with six goals and 15 points. She also had a pair of game-winning goals during WAC play.

Norris, from Sandy, Utah (Alta HS), was voted Defensive Player of the Year for the third consecutive season. Norris anchored the defense for the Aggies that allowed only two goals during conference play this season.

Curry, a freshman from Cypress, Texas (Cy-Fair HS), led Texas State with three goals and one assist for seven points during conference play this season. She also led the Bobcats with 23 shots, 12 of which were on goal during regular season play.

Hooker, who is in his 21st season with the Pioneers, led Denver to a WAC regular season title and 14 victories in the regular season. Hooker earned the 300th win of his career on Oct. 12 at New Mexico State.
