SERIES LOOK: This is the first meeting between the two schools.
COACHES: Utah State’s Gary Andersen is in his fourth season with the Aggies and is 21-24.  UTSA’s Larry Coker is in his second season with the Roadrunners and is 9-8.  Overall, he is 69-23 in eight years as a head coach.
GAME NOTES: Utah State – has won seven straight WAC games ... has never won eight consecutive conference games ... has won at least six games in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 1996-97 ... has gone 11-3 in its last 14 outings, its best mark since going 12-2 during the 1972-73 seasons ... the three losses have come by a combined six points ... has outscored its opponents 82-3 in the first quarter ... is fourth in the nation in sacks with 30 ... SERIES LOOK: This is the first meeting between the two schools.
COACHES: Texas State’s Dennis Franchione is in his fourth season with the Bobcats and is 22-18.  Overall, he is 196-110-2 in 27 years as a head coach.  San Jose State’s Mike MacIntyre is in his third season with the Spartans and is 11-21.
GAME NOTES: Texas State – plays four of its next five games on the road ... has not allowed any fourth quarter points over its last three games ... is fifth in the nation in punting and ninth in punt returns .... Andy Erickson leads the WAC in punt returns while Jafus Gaines leads the WAC in kick returns.  San Jose State – is looking to win its sixth game of the season for the first time since 2008 ... has had three special teams TDs in a season for the first time since 1970 ... Tyler Ervin is one of six players in the nation to have scored a touchdown three different ways (KR, rush, receiving)... David Fales leads the WAC and is 10th in the nation in passing efficiency (166.4) ... Austin Lopez is 12-for-12 on field goal attempts, tied for the most by any kicker in the country that hasn’t missed a field goal this year ... Cullen Newsome is tied for the national lead in fumbles recovered with three.

SERIES LOOK: Louisiana Tech leads the series 7-4.  The Bulldogs have won five in a row including last year, 44-0, in Ruston.  New Mexico State’s last win came in 2006, 50-23, in Las Cruces.
COACHES: Louisiana Tech’s Sonny Dykes is in his third season with the Bulldogs and is 19-13.  New Mexico State’s DeWayne Walker is in his fourth season with the Aggies and is 10-35.
GAME NOTES: Louisiana Tech – has won seven straight WAC games ... has an eight-game road winning streak, tied for second longest in the nation ... has already scored 393 points this season, the third most in school history ... RB Kenneth Dixon leads the nation in scoring with 13.7 points per game and in touchdowns with 16 ... he needs two more rushing touchdowns to tie the school record of 18 set by Ryan Moats in 2004.  New Mexico State – plays three of its next four games at home ... has intercepted just two passes this year ...
