Providing the offense for the Bobcats on the night was fittingly senior forward Serena Hines who scored a goal and had two assists. Texas State got on the board before most fans were even in their seats, scoring 38 seconds into the match. Hines took the ball down the center of the field, tapped it to her left and Taylor Kelley took a touch before ripping it in the left side of the net from 18 yards out for the 1-0 lead.

The draw pushed the Lady Techsters (12-1-4) unbeaten streak to 11 games and kept them in second place in the current WAC standings with a conference record of 3-0-2. The win stretches the Pioneers unbeaten streak to 15 matches. Junior forward Kristen Hamilton (Littleton, Colo.) found the net twice and recorded an assist to give her five points for the second-straight contest. Sophomore midfielder Lydia Harlan (St. Louis, Mo.) and senior forward Kaitlin Bast (Centennial, Colo.) also scored for the Pioneers. Sophomore midfielder Anna Willis (Centennial, Colo.) tallied three assists on the night.

With the win, the Aggies improve to 10-2-6 overall and 5-0-2 in Western Athletic Conference action, maintaining their spot atop the league standings. San Jose State falls to 4-11-1 overall and 2-5-0 in league play. This is the seventh-straight season that USU has won at least nine matches in a season, and the sixth time in the next seven years that the Aggies have reached double-figures in wins.
