LAS CRUCES, N.M. - (Denver Media Relations) A coaching career that started in 1992 reached yet another milestone on Friday afternoon, as University of Denver women's soccer head coach Jeff Hooker earned his 300th DU win and his 280th DU women's soccer win in the 24th-ranked Pioneers 3-0 victory over New Mexico State at NMSU Soccer Complex. "There was a lot of enthusiasm around the team on this trip before we even got to the match today, and that aspect really carried over into today's game," Hooker said. "We played with a lot of purpose straight away. I think we knew this was going to be a physical game, but we rose to the occasion in that aspect of the match. For us, a 2-0 halftime lead put us in a great position to be able to keep players fresh."

SEATTLE - (Utah State Media Relations) Freshman Maris Hamblin picked the perfect moment for her first collegiate goal, scoring with just over a minute remaining in the first overtime to push the Utah State soccer team past Seattle, 2-1, on Friday at Championship Field in Seattle. At the 98:59 mark of the match, sophomore forward Jade Tarver won the ball and played it to Hamblin at the back of the goal. With a quick turn, Hamblin fired a shot with her left foot, finding the back of the net to give Utah State its third overtime win of the season. The assist the first of the season for Tarver.

The Lady Techsters (11-1-3) keep their unbeaten streak alive, now at nine games, and take a big jump from sixth to third in the early WAC standings with two wins and one tie to their credit. The loss by the Bobcats (5-10-1) brings their conference record to 2-3-0 and currently in the middle of the WAC pack.
