New Mexico State 3, UTSA
New Mexico State defeated UTSA in straight sets (26-24, 25-19, 25-21) in the Pan American Center Thursday night. With the win, the Aggies improve to 13-5 on the year and 7-1 in WAC play. The Roadrunners fall to 12-6 overall and 5-3 in the WAC.

The Aggies out-hit the Roadrunners .180 to .050. The Aggies also edged UTSA in kills (41-38) and blocks (12-9). UTSA had more digs (56-46) and both teams tallied 36 assists.

Meredith Hays tallied a match-high 11 kills, while Stephanie Ziegler had a team-best 16 digs.

Whitney Walls paced the Roadrunners with 10 kills, while Annie Kunes had a match-high 18 digs.


Idaho 3, UT Arlington 1
Idaho picked up its fifth consecutive win Thursday, a 3-1 (25-9, 27-25, 22-25, 25-18) WAC victory over UT Arlington. With the win, the Vandals improve to 8-10 on the season and 6-2 in the WAC. UTA falls to 6-14 overall and 2-6 in WAC play.

The Vandals hit .250 in the match and held the Mavericks to a .091 percentage. Idaho gave up an 85-81 advantage in digs to UTA, but out-blocked the Mavericks 13-4.

Allison (Walker) Baker led all players with 19 kills to go along with 14 digs and five blocks. The double-double was her WAC-leading 13th of the season, and it marked the 34th consecutive match she reached double-digit kills. Janelle Chow had a team-high 24 digs and Jenna Ellis added a career-high 20.

UT Arlington was led by Ashley Bennett with 10 kills. Valerie Stetzer had 21 digs, while Shelby Dickson had 20 digs and nine kills.


Denver 3, Texas State 1
Denver defeated Texas State 3-1 (25-20, 25-17, 25-27, 25-20) Thursday evening at Hamilton Gymnasium to stay unbeaten at home on this season. The victory moved Denver to 9-9 on the season, and 3-5 in WAC play, while the Bobcats fall to 9-10 overall and 4-4 in WAC competition.

The Pioneers hit .345 on the night, compared to the .139 of the Bobcats. DU also had more kills (67-44), assists (57-43), digs (57-53) and blocks (11-7). Texas State had five service aces to Denver's zero. The Pioneers also had 14 service errors in the match.

Faimie Kingsley tallied a match-high 18 kills, while Colleen King finished with 15. Michele Swope ended the match with 13 kills and a match-best 18 digs.

Amari Deardorff and Ashlee Hilbun led the Bobcats with 12 kills apiece. Sierra Smith, Laura Whalen and Hilbun paced Texas State with nine digs each.


Seattle U 3, Louisiana Tech 2
For the fourth time this season, Seattle U rallied from a 2-1 match deficit, winning the final two sets for a 3-2 victory (25-18, 19-25, 17-25, 25-21, 15-10) over Louisiana Tech Thursday night in a WAC match at the Thomas Assembly Center. With the win, the Redhawks improve to 7-11 overall and 2-6 in WAC play. LA Tech falls to 3-17 on the season and 0-8 in the WAC.

Seattle U out-hit Louisiana Tech .193 to .166. The Redhawks also had more kills (58-57) and digs (79-75). The Lady Techsters had more assists (55-53), service aces (7-2) and blocks (11-5).

Kaytlyn Dill notched her sixth straight double-double with 24 kills and 15 digs, while Karli Pedone contributed 11 kills. Jacquie Brice was just shy of a double-double, dishing out 45 assists to go along with nine digs, while Lani Beadle led the Redhawks with 26 digs.

Regan Himmelberg led LA Tech with 12 kills, while Fenix Calderon added 11. Stephany Salas had a match-high 27 digs.
