Idaho Beats Seattle U in Five Sets

Idaho won its fourth straight match and Seattle U played its seventh five-set match of the season Friday night WAC play. Idaho won 25-16, 19-25, 25-18, 19-25, 15-13 to improve to 7-10 overall and 5-2 in the WAC. The Redhawks fall to 6-11 on the season and 1-6 in WAC play.
The Vandals hit .215 on the match, compared to the .193 of the Red Hawks. The Vandals were out-dug 93-77, but out-blocked SU 11-6.5.
Jenna Ellis finished the match with six service aces, the sixth highest single-match total in Idaho history. The Vandals finished with a season-high 12 aces in the match, the second most of any WAC team in a match this season.
Idaho sophomore Allison (Walker) Baker had 20 kills and 17 digs in the match. It was her seventh 20-kill match of the year, and her 12th double-double of the season. Alyssa Schultz had 14 kills and seven blocks, while Katelyn Peterson had 10 kills and six digs.
Seattle U was paced by Kaytlyn Dill with 22 kills and 17 digs. Jacquie Brice added 55 assists and 14 digs.
