Three Denver Pioneers are competing at the ITA All-American Championships at Case Tennis Center this week in Tulsa, Okla. ... seniors Enej Bonin (Koper, Slovenia), Jens Vorkefeld (Ostercappein, Germany) and Fabio Biasion (Velbert, Germany) are representing DU at the championships ... Bonin, who is ranked No. 65 in the ITA Presason Tennis Rankings, will compete in the singles main draw on Thursday, Oct. 4 ... Vorkefeld and Biasion will compete in the singles qualifying draw beginning Monday, Oct. 1 ... Bonin and Vorkefeld will also compete in the main draw in doubles on Oct. 4 ... junior Alex Clinkenbeard (Loveland, Colo.) and sophomores Luke Manley (Edmonton, Alberta), Frederick Bjorne (Oslo, Norway) and Preben Bjorne (Oslo, Norway) will compete for DU at the University of New Mexico Balloon Fiesta Invitational on Oct. 5-7 ... The Pioneers hosted the DU Invitational on Sept. 21-23, competing individually in singles and doubles against Air Force, Nebraska and New Mexico ... Clinkenbeard and Manley each posted 2-1 singles records to lead DU.

Idaho players finished first in two of three main draws at the EWU Fall Invitational ... freshman Matt Oddonetto went 4-0 in singles play to win the White Flight ... sophomore Cesar Torres teamed up with Montana's Eric Braun to go 5-0 in doubles, winning the doubles draw.

New Mexico State's Daniel Fernandez competed in the third round of the ITA Men's All-American Championships ... Fernandez faced the No. 16 seed JT Sundling of TCU, taking him to a tough three set match ... Fernandez would eventually fall to Sundling, 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 ... senior captain Luis Ramirez, junior Marc Westgate also competed  ... Ramirez received a BYE the first round and then faced Bryan Welnetz of Penn State, falling in two-sets, 6-4, 6-4 ... Westgate faced Roger Anderson of LSU, defeating him 6-4, 6-2, before falling to Drew Lied of Michigan State in three sets, 4-6, 6-2, 6-4.

Kyle Rapp won the White Flight consolation bracket at the EWU Fall Classic Sept. 21-23, going 5-1 in the tournament ... Kevin Lynch and Jason Bediones teamed up to win the doubles bracket consolation in teh same tournament, notching a 3-1 record ... freshman Gus Orlando made the quarter finals in the main draw of the White Flight, earning his first collegiate victory to get there. 

The UT Arlington men's tennis team had a solid showing at the HEB Baylor Intercollegiate ... in the opening singles draw, the Mavericks went 1-3 with Carlos Arbiza earning a win in the first round before falling in the second ... Arbiza and Yauheni Yakauleu advanced as far as the semifinal round in the consolation bracket ... in doubles action, Arbiza and Yakauleu earned an opening round win before falling in the round of 16 ... the Mavericks will have some time off before competing in the Texas Regional in Fort Worth, TX on Oct. 21.

Senior Tyler Brown advanced to the third round of pre-qualifying at the 2012 ITA All-American Championships ... Brown posted back-to-back straight-sets victories to advance to the third round where he was outlasted by Old Dominion's Albert Ochagavia in three frames ... sophomore David Kelleher also won his first-round contest against North Florida's Leo Nahar (7-6, 3-6, 6-3) ... the Roadrunners will continue their fall campaign on this weekend at the Lamar Invitational ... the three-day tournament is scheduled to get underway on Friday, Oct. 5.

Utah State's Sven Poslusny earned a straight set victory (6-3, 6-1) over Purdue's Arthur Dobradin in the bonus match section of the pre-qualifying draw ... in the opening round Poslusny lost in straight sets to Eastern Washington's Joseph Cohen (7-6 {7}, 6-2) ... the Aggies senior was one of four Western Athletic Conference players to take part in the pre-qualifying Championship ... USU had six players participate in the second round consolation brackets at the Weber State Invitational ... the Aggie men overall greatly improved upon their tournament play from last year.
