The lone goal of the day was compliments of midfielder Erica Stewart who placed a perfect ball to the back post, just out of the reach of the keeper, to notch the game-winning goal and the 1-0 win over McNeese State today at the Lady Techster Soccer Complex. The victory pushes LA Tech's unbeaten streak to five with an overall record of 8-1-2. The loss ended the Cowgirls unbeaten streak of four games and puts their record at 5-4-1 on the year.

MIAMI - (UTSA Media Relations) Freshman goalkeeper Katarina Pus recorded eight saves, but Kate Howarth's goal in the 75th minute was enough to push Miami (Fla.) past UTSA, 1-0, on Friday night at Cobb Stadium. For the second time in their last three tilts, the Roadrunners (1-7) held their opponent scoreless for the first 45 minutes of action. Despite holding an 11-1 edge in shots at the break, the Hurricanes (5-4-1) were unable to get one past Pus, whose eight stops were just one off her season high.

DENVER - (Denver Media Relations) The University of Denver women's soccer team defeated TCU 2-1 on a 99th-minute golden goal from senior forward Kalie Vaughn (Fort Collins, Colo.) on Friday evening at CIBER Field at the University of Denver Soccer Stadium. "I thought we did a great job in the first half of finding space and controlling the pace of the game," head coach Jeff Hooker said. "They put 10 players behind the ball and made it difficult for us at times. When we played two-touch and moved off the ball we broke them down pretty well."

SAN MARCOS, Texas - (Texas State Media Relations) After a few weeks of frustration offensively, the Texas State soccer team got out of its slump with a 6-0 win over Texas Southern Friday night at the Bobcat Soccer Complex. Tori Hale led the way for Texas State with two goals and two assists. Lynsey Curry scored her first career goal, two minutes into the match. Tori Hale got a ball at midfield and tapped it over to Curry who had a breakaway, which she converted for her first career goal. Coming into the game, Curry had attempted 25 shots without a goal.

PORTLAND, Ore. - (Seattle U Media Relations) In their second straight match versus a top-25 team, Seattle University women's soccer (4-5-0) played great defense through the majority of the match, but a couple of late defensive miscues by the Redhawks and their lack of offense output led to a 3-0 Portland victory. Melissa Busque (St. Bruno, Quebec, Canada) took the first shot of the game in the sixth minute, but it went wide left. This was followed by three shots by the Pilots (6-1-1), the last resulting in a goal by Micaela Capelle, assisted by Amanda Frisbie, to put them ahead, 1-0.
