Despite giving up an early first period goal to the Lions, the defensive line stood tall allowing the offense to use their second half magic to spark a 2-1 come-from-behind victory, their first comeback win of the season. The road win completed the weekend sweep for the Techsters after a 4-0 shutout versus Jackson State this past Friday and bolsters their record to 7-1-2 and ended SLU's four-game winning streak bringing their overall record to 5-3.

"Today's game was a major bummer," Spartans head coach Jeff Leightman said. "I feel like we have been playing good soccer here and there. We kept and moved the ball around more. We had the ball for most of the game and we had tons of chances, but we are not doing well in the critical moments."

Myers Stadium. "You have to say when you're 3-1 down, you're more than happy to get two back," head coach Jeff Hooker said. "We showed a lot of character on the road today against a very good Texas team. They have some very, very talented players. I'm just so proud of how we continued to battle tonight. We had goals coming from everywhere, and showed a never-ending willingness to attack."

SAN MARCOS, Texas - (Texas State Media Relations) The Texas State soccer team dominated the stat sheet, but could not find the back of the net, as the team lost 1-0 to McNeese, Sunday afternoon on a very wet field at the Bobcat Soccer Complex. Overall, Texas State held a 13-5 shot advantage including 8-0 in the second half. With 27 minutes remaining in the second half, Lynsey Curry broke away from the Cowgirl defense and has headed towards the goal. However, the wet field impeded her progress and allowed the McNeese defense to catch up and block her eventual shot.

The Aalesund, Norway, native gave the Roadrunners (1-6) an early 1-0 lead with her first collegiate goal. Husoe collected the rebound after junior Maria Jose Rojas' shot hit the crossbar and she beat goalkeeper Cami Koski for the advantage.
