McKenzie Adams posted 13 kills and UTSA swept Texas State (25-13, 25-15, 25-18) on Friday night at the Convocation Center. It marked the Roadrunners' first home victory against the Bobcats in nearly four years (Sept. 27, 2008).
With the win, the Roadrunners improve to UTSA 9-4 overall and 2-1 in the WAC. Texas State drops to 6-8 on the season and 1-2 in WAC play.
UTSA hit .281 while limiting Texas State to a .045 hitting percentage.
Adams, who was the lone player in double-figure kills, hit .323. Dempsey Thornton added nine kills on a match-high .500 hitting percentage.
Kylie Schott posted a match-best seven blocks, while Annie Kunes collected a match-high 16 digs. Brandy Huskey turned in her 10th double-double, handing out 30 assists and making 11 digs.
The Bobcats received 15 assists from Caleigh McCorquodale and 10 digs from Laura Whalen.
