Parks put the ball in the back of the net in the 23rd minute to help Boise State to a 1-0 victory over Nevada to claim its first-ever WAC Tournament title. Liz Ruiz registered the shutout win in goal for the Broncos. Maureen Fitzgerald was credited with the assist on the Parks goal. Boise State now advances to the 2009 NCAA Tournament.

Semifinals
#3 Boise State 1, #2 Utah State 1
Erica Parks split two defenders and scored from 10 yards out in the 58th minute to help Boise State to a 1-0 victory over No. 2 seed Utah State Friday in the WAC Tournament's second semifinal. The win advances Boise State into Sunday's championship match against No. 4 seed Nevada. Liz Ruiz recorded the shutout in goal for the Broncos.
#4 Nevada 2, #1 San Jose State 1 (OT)
Nevada's Erin Smith put a 17-yard shot past San Jose State's keeper in overtime to help the Wolf Pack to a 2-1 victory over the top-seeded Spartans in Friday's WAC Tournament semifinal match. With the victory, Nevada advances to Sunday's championship match. Cristen Drummond scored Nevada's first goal of the game in the 22nd minute. Shanelle Furner was credited with San Jose State's goal in the 10th minute of play.
First Round
#3 Boise State 2, #6 Fresno State 1
Brandy Hickcox put the ball in the back of the net from 21 yards out in the 89th minute to break a 1-1 tie as No. 3 Boise State defeated No. 6 Fresno State 2-1 in Friday's first round match. The Broncos now advance to Friday's 3 p.m. semifinal match against No. 2 Utah State. Hickox' game winner marks her third goal of the season. Erica Parks put in Boise State's first goal of the match, while Janna Sadowitz scored Fresno State's goal.
#4 Nevada 1, #5 New Mexico State 0
No. 4 Nevada opened the WAC Soccer Tournament with a 1-0 victory over No. 5 New Mexico State. With the win, Nevada advances to Friday's semifinal against top seed San Jose State. Nevada got on the scoreboard early as Vanessa Man scored on a deflection from 12 yards out just 44 seconds into the match. Natalie Ratnavira was credited with the assist. Marie Cove played all 90 minutes in goal for the Wolf Pack, collecting five saves.
