Missouri 6, New Mexico State 2
The New Mexico State baseball team fell 6-2 to Missouri in an elimination game of the NCAA Tucson Regional and end the season with a 35-24 overall record. Friday, June 1

Louisville 3, New Mexico State 2
The No. 2 seed New Mexico State baseball team (35-23) is now 1-5 all-time in NCAA Regional Tournament play after falling 3-2 to No. 3 seed Louisville in Hi Corbett Field, Friday, June 1. NM State jumped out to an early 2-0 lead after All-American catcher Zac Fisher marked an RBI single up the middle in the first and tallied another RBI in the third as the Louisville second baseman picked up an error on an easy groundball to the right side. Starting pitcher Ryan Beck was given the loss and falls to 5-7 on the year as he worked six innings and struck out three batters while giving up the three runs the Cardinals scored.

Palo Alto Regional
Sunday, June 3
Pepperdine 8, Fresno State 5
The Fresno State baseball team stared elimination in the face for the fifth time in nine days and nearly had enough in the tank before running into a tidal wave in the final inning. The Bulldogs lost 8-5 in heartbreaking fashion after senior pitcher Cody Kendall gave a career effort from the hill, but finished three outs away from earning a spot in the Regional Championship Round. Fresno State scored twice in the second and three more in the fifth when senior designated hitter Kenneth Wise ripped a bases-clearing 3 RBI double into the right center field gap to build a 5-0 lead over the Waves. Kendall stole the show for 24 outs before running out of gas in the ninth. Kendall retired 14 straight batters from the last out of the second inning until allowing a one-out single in the seventh that opened the door for Pepperdine to tally a two-run seventh inning rally.

Saturday, June 2

Fresno State 8, Michigan State 2
With the season on the line in its fourth win-or-go-home game in the past eight days, the Fresno State baseball team performed under pressure once again in beating Michigan State 8-2 on Saturday afternoon in an elimination game at the NCAA Stanford Regional at Sunken Diamond. Senior first baseman Trent Garrison went 3-for-4 with three RBIs to lead Fresno State to its first victory in the NCAA Tournament since winning the 2008 College World Series in Omaha's Rosenblatt Stadium.

Friday, June 1

Stanford 9, Fresno State 1
The Fresno State baseball team suffered a 9-1 loss to the No. 13-ranked Stanford Cardinal and ace pitcher Mark Appel on Friday night in the opening round of the 2012 NCAA Stanford Regional. The Bulldogs (30-27) kept the game close until the Cardinal (39-16) scored two runs in the fifth and three times in the sixth to build a 5-0 lead. Fresno State got its only run of the game when redshirt junior Trent Garrison pulled a RBI double down the right field line in the seventh to plate sophomore Jake Alvarez from second. Stanford scored four more in the bottom of the eighth to cruise to the 9-1 advantage.
